Tell me something about yourself

How are you going to answer this question?
What is the interviewer would like to know?
What is the interviewer would like to hear?
What is it that you have in mind about you?

If you are going to apply for a job, this is the most common questions being asked.

Tell me something about yourself is about you telling a brief summary of your resume.
If you are a fresh graduate you may start with your name, where you currently live and your school background and what course you graduated of course.

You should also tell your achievements while in college, your hobbies and what are your qualities like being friendly and an easy to go with person. You should also highlight your strength like being a hard-working person things like that.

It should be brief and not too long. I know you've memorize the lines you were going to say. Make sure you sound natural. Make an eye contact with the interviewer and not look on the other things. If you are nervous, what I am doing is holding my handkerchief tight, I don't know but that works for me to ease the nervousness.

You should also be positive 😉 go on you can get that job.

How I win my First Job

It was wayback 2013 and a newly fresh graduate with nothing to start over with.
You may think after graduation everything will be settled and go on according to your dream job but it's not. Honestly you will go back to step 1 but step 1 with full of knowledge and determination for a brighter future.

Going back we were a set 5 person who travelled Makati to apply to a job referred to by one of my friends. This company is an ITO company in Ayala that accepts fresh graduate. Below are the series of exams and interview I wen through.

1. Exam, this is the first steps ofcourse, if you will apply on an ITO you should know basic trouble shooting and knowledge in MS office, more on a technical knowledge.

2. First interview, here they will ask you about your self, your expectations and behavior as this is an HR interview, watch out for my tips on the questions being asked in an interview. You should be prepared and research interview questions to pass it.

3. Final interview, this is more on a technical interview about how you are going to resolve an issue and how you will deal with an irate person, as a beginner I relate the answers based on what I've experienced during my OJT.

4. Wait for the call, gladly I was hired after waiting for a week. I was happy because I thought It will take me time to find a job.

Let me know your experience too 😉

Coins Pro Asia Experience for a Year and get approved

Getting approved in Coins Pro Asia is not that easy now a days as requirements are being required.
First you need to download Coins.PH app and cashin your money through any remittance center or online banking.

You also have to maintain maybe less than 1000 pesos for a month before you apply with coins pro asia as that is what I did to get approved.

As for the experience with the trading platforms, they always do a maintenance specially when the prices are going up or down leaving you clueless if the trade has been successful or not. It also hinders you to update your trading price while on maintenance.

Most of the time when there is no maintenance I will monitor if I will sell or buy based on quantity of number are there in the selling or buying price.

Example is when I noticed a lot are buying or selling ranging 1 bitcoin and up then I will also do the same as I'm not expert yet with the charts since I'm still learning though.

Overall experience is good except for the maintenance and I already been earning not a lot but enough.

Hope that helps and let me know your experience too and share your thoughts about this.

Credit Card Application Experience through Metrobank

Applying for credit card and then receiving a declined mail is really hurtful. All of us gets in the same experience receiving rejected mail and then apply again until one of the banks accepts your requirements.
Luckily while I'm not expecting to get approved, metrobank sent me the card two months after the interview.

Here is the steps I've gone through
1. Fill out the application through their website: https://www.metrobankcard.com
2. ID's I submitted are TIN ID and passport.

3. Submitted my payslip and 2316 from BIR.

4. Two weeks after, I received a phone call for CI investigation asking if they can call HR for employment verification.

5. I contacted Metrobank weeks after to ask for the result verifying that my application is approved.6. I've got the card two months after, agent says they have an issue with the printing that's why it took that long to send the card.

It might have been an easy process but yeah you gotta deal with rejections first unless you're born rich to have a good amount of money in any banks that they will be the one to offer you the card 😁
